Sampled on 6/15/2011 on tap at Beer Revolution. This saison pours a slightly hazy medium orange gold color from the tap. Medium to small sized white foamy head, with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is floral, fruity, orange blossoms and sweet. A medium bodied saison. The malts are fruity and sweet, spicy, grape-ish and spicy. The hops are herbal, earthy and spicy. Mild carbonation. A touch sweet, and not all that spicy. A little un saison like. The finish is a little strange, a touch of grapes and maybe some wood. Not entirely sure it’s supposed to taste like this but it kind of works. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly funky and slightly sweet.
