A Gold medal winner in the 2002 North American Brewers' Association competition, this richly gold-colored Bohemian Pilsner-style beer that begins fresh and malty with a good hop-malt balance and a dense, white rocky head of foam. It maintains its zest and balance of hops and malt from start to finish. It is a cold lagered, naturally carbonated all-malt beer that is very versatile and can be enjoyed alone or with nearly any type of food.

Light orange gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is grass and grain, kind of sweet. Aroma is grass and grain, slightly sweet. A light to medium bodied Pale lager. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly bitter. Mild taste, read bland, tasting lager. Slightly watery. Touches of cardboard. Boring Brew Pub Lager. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is sharp. Finish is slightly bitter.

Had this two times and it sure isn't a Pilsner, despite their website description. The brewpub/grill listed it as a Munich style Helles lager. This one certainly doesn't kill you with grassy hops! Standard golden color with a nice initial white head, that dissipated gradually, but provided solid lacing. The aroma was malty rich and the hops undetected. The flavor was sweet (maybe a bit too much) and malty grainy (some light honey flavors). Fairly heavy mouthfeel, sticky sweet. (Resampled on 5/2/06.)
