This Imperial Stout has spent one year in oak casks which were previously used for aging Cognac. We think that this has given it a couple of new dimensions, and hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Extreme dark brown body and I'm disappointed by the fact that I didn't get a single bubble during the pour, completely flat looking. Love this aroma, sweet coffee, notable Cognac, almost smokey, hints of chocolate. This smeels oh high quality. OH FAWK WHAT DID I JUST DRINK!!! So smooth so rich. Big heavy chocolate malts, sweet alcohol, almost but not soya sauce, ash. I'm drooling horribly drinking this. Each sip is epic there is not one thing not awesome about this beer, will maybe the lack of bubbles is a problem but was that because of a bad pour? The cognac complements this stout so well. The more I drink the more sweet milk chocolate comes out and I do get vanilla sometimes. WHY WHY IS THIS BOTTLE SO SMALL!?!?!?!?! I'm out of beer and I'm sad now.

250 ml bottle, kindly shared by Odland. Sampled at room temperature. Pitch black colour, creamy brown head. Strong aroma of cognac oak barrel, some roasty notes too. Well rounded flavour, roasty of course, dark chocolate and coffee, the cognac and oak are there, but not overwhelming. Excellent beer.
