Pour a dark amber color with almost no head to it. Aroma was smoky and carmel. Not sure i would call this a scottish ale. Carmel in the taste some smoke. Mouthfeel was super thin. like nothing to it

The body is a clear, dark copper brown, but there is little head. The aroma is quite weak. The flavor is lifeless and short with a watery finish. My wife even commented on the quick and watery flavor. A scottish ale needs more body and a fully flavor than this.

Nodding Head 60 Shilling Ale is not a normal scottish ale. It has lot of the traits of a scottish ale, but done much lighter and personally thinner than I like. It poured a light amber color with almost no head. It had the typically malty flavor. Not a bad beer, but I like my scottish ale done a little heavier.

Deep amber color with a small tan head. Malty and roasty aroma. Very light smoke and caramel taste. Some roast in there as well. Super thin. I did not think it was a great example of the style.
