Amber colour, mediumsized head. Aroma is malty, alcoholic and plummy. Flavour is malts, alcohol, dark fruit and some weak bready hints are also there. Pleasant one. Nice and quite full palate.

RBESG 2006 Grand Tasting. Colour like sherry oloroso, minimal head. Sherry aroma too. Sweetish flavour with pastry notes, quite nice. The Nils Oscar Julöl (Yule/Christmas beers) seem to have a different recipe for each vintage.

Dark reddish brown, small white head. Sweet almondy aroma with hints of lemon and earth. Sweet malty flavour almonds, swedish ryebread (knäckebröd), and earth. Hints of grapefruit in the aftertaste.
