Well, this is different. Pours a very dark mahagony with a thin tan head. Aroma is kind of weak, burnt chocolate and coffee, toasted grain, some grassiness. Flavor is mildly sweet up front with some caramel and chocolate, strong toasted malt, then quickly finishes with some dry roasted coffee and burnt grass. Some astringency is noticable in the mouthfeel, and some light sourness on the edges. A different take on an imperial stout, but it just didn't do it for me.
