The Tripel is similar to the Belgian Blond in its malt composition. However unlike the Belgian, the Tripel has a wine like character due to its high alcohol percentage, which is usually around 9%. It has a dry feel in the mouth and a bit of warmth to it. Yet it is still a very smooth easy drinking ale, with a hint of lingering bitterness and some sweet notes.
