We like to think we beat winter at its own game with 2°Below Winter Ale- a bright, warming blast of Sterling and Liberty hops along with tawny-roasted malts. By pushing our 2°Below into a final, nearly freezing state, its ample structure develops a brilliant clarity. Dry-hopping during fermentation creates a rosy, floral nose with a hint of pepper spice and subtle, estery undertones. Weighing in at 6.6% alcohol by volume with 30 IBU's, 2°Below provides a bright, hoppy palate and a cheery warm afterglow. We hope it helps take your winter from bearable to downright delightful.

Pours a clear coppery amber with a fine-bubbled, slightly orangy off-white head. Aroma is malty, fruity and slightly spicy. Lively, mouth-filling flavor is spicy with woody and hoppy undertones. Texture is tingly, fizzy and sassy. Definitely worth at least a try.

This poured a dark amber color with a white head. The aroma is malty with caramel, biscuit, and dark fruit., The flavor is typical ESB with some caramel, raisins, and toffee. The aftertaste is rather sweet. Overall it was pretty good.

Had this last night at a local bar that had no other decent beers. I didn't know who brewed it at the time and so I had no expectations. It had a pretty good head and color to it but the flavor and aroma were pretty weak. It was very easy to drink and a quality brew, but nothing exciting.

This is a winter beer that I keep coming back to, it pours a brown color with a white head, which has staying power. The smell is suprising at first because of the citrus notes but after that there are the spicy sweetness of many winter ales. The sweetness cuts down on the bitterness and the lower ABV than most winter warmers makes this a great beer to drink during those cold winter months.

This is one of the brews, along with Jubelale, that I bring to holiday parties and have on hand for Christmas and New Year's. It is well recieved more often than not, even among bud drinkers. The spice and warmth of this brew are what bring me back to it agian and again. The hops and malt combine well with the bright spices and citrus. Good session brew, and makes an excellent ingredient.

One of the poorest winter brews I have had. Malts overwelled the spices and hops. Nothing is there to recall later. I wouldnt recremend this beer to any of my friends.

A decent beer but not worth the effort expended to get it. Very malty, almost obnoxiously so. The cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg spices are pleasant enought, but are degarded by excess malt and lack of hops.

I have this ongoing curiosity with winter brew so that is what attracted me to 2 Below. Aroma is not much to talk about. Taste is of heavy malts , cinnamon and rotten fruit. I have had brews that were way better. This is not my cup of tea. Will not have again. Horrible.
