Brewed to celebrate the brewery's fifth anniversary, this barley wine style ale uses an original blend of English floor-malted barley, challenger hops for bittering and East Kent Golding Hops for a delicate piney aroma. A portion of the ale is aged in Missouri oak barells.

Gift from Brett. No carbonation, foam, or lacing at all. Pours the color of caramel. Notably high alcohol component in the aroma and the peppery taste, balanced by a high malt profile that with little hop influence at all, still yields a full body and smooth mouthfeel. A pleasant sipping ale over which to linger and reminisce.

The aroma was my favorite part. It reminded me of many kids cereals, like Fruity Pebbles, Trix etc. It smells like sweet, fruity grains. Really built me up. The flavor didn't let me down. It was so matured and balanced. The malts were deep and rich, but the hops kept it lively. Mueller makes decent beer consistently, but I had never had anything close to exceptional from them. This one was close.

Sampled from bottle. Pours amber with an off-white head and intricate lacing. Aroma is floral and candy-like. Flavor is rich malt and piney. Viscous, warming and lightly carbonated. A good beer experience.
