Comes out of the bottle as black as outer space with a thick and rather persistent light tan head. Aroma has a core of roast malt with chocolate, coffee and toffee tones and hints of licorice and bourbon. Eminently satisfying flavor has robust roast coffee, sweet chocolate, dark malt, molasses, toffee and licorice notes, plus quite an alcohol nip, as well as more than a hint of bourbon-saturated oak. Thick, smooth texture lacks a bit in fizz, but leaves a persistent smoky and bourbon finish. Watch out - it will attack your tongue like an angry panther! One bold and fierce imperial stout.

March Tasting: Cork blew off straight up to the ceiling and got lost somewhere in the basement corner, surprisingly it wasn't a gusher. Hope it was an infected bottle, cause if not the beer would be considered a total disaster. Terrible aroma of plastic and medicine, the roast and bourbon peek out a tad. Looks good, feels alright at best and tastes worse than the aroma. To rate or not to rate....who cares consider this a fair warning to anyone with access to this beer.

Pours dark, very low head. Obvious bourbon barrel aroma. Mouthfeel has a nice bite. Flavor is expected stout chocolate coffee along with a bourbon overtone.
