Got this on tap at Mort Subite with sebletitje. It pours up with a clear deep copper body that supports a full lasting white head of foam that has slight pinkish hues. The aroma offers up mild yet inviting soured notes and yeastiness that quickly gets pushed aside by apple juice sweetness and ripe red apple wedges. The taste, boy they serve this cold, delivers first a modest tart bite that seems a little tannin apple skin like. It then runs into apple sweetness and drying vague mild tartness. Overall this seems uninspired as compared to other Faros I’ve tried to date.

Tap at the Mort Subite Cafe in Brussels. This is a beautiful red colored beer with huge with head. Aroma is mostly sweet with some very subtle touch of malt. Taste is very sweet with a nice touch of oak at the end. The taste is somewhat similar to the kriek. Carbonation is good and body is thin which makes it a very refreshing beer to sip during a hot summer day. Overall, probably one of the best Mort Subite product that I had the chance to taste.
