A limited edition 9% Imperial Stout. A dark , rich, and balanced Imperial Stout, packed with vanilla, chocolate and hints of burnt wood flavours. Gentle aroma of liquorice, very smooth to the palette. Only 1600 bottles have been produced so one for the special occasions.

33cl bottle, courtesy of SarkyNorthener, pours with a nice deep dark chocolate colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up chocolate heading quickly to milk chocolate and then thin ribbons of dark roasted malts and spicy black licorice. The taste delivers a pleasing blend of dark chocolate, dark roasted malts and some softer milk chocolate. To midway it picks up a wafer thin layer of sweet dark fruity esters and a bit of spicy black licorice. This is smooth with the right amount of depth and richness. Solid offering.
