MERIDIA est une bière basée sur le canevas des bières monastiques triples. Au nez et en bouche, les notes rondes et mieilleuses apportées par les malts se joignent aux riches saveurs d’épices apportées par le laurier, la levure et le houblon. MERIDIA is based on the monastic trippel canvas. Its aroma and taste come from the rounded and honey like notes of the malts, as well as the rich flavours of spices brought by the bay leaves, yeast and hops.

First one from this brewery. Pours a clean, slightly unfiltered amber colour with some golden hues. Frothy warm cap, great retention for a Tripel with some creamy lace. Lots of spices (mostly nutmeg) in the nose, kind of like a Christmas beer with some caramel malts and hints of apples. Nice warming alcohol mouthfeel. Gets hazy at last pour. Spices in the taste as well with some nice grassy hops in the finish. Maybe the bay leaves. The caramel malt add some sweetness. Not so much a Tripel, but a real nice strong spiced ale.
