Pours out in a hazy reddish brown appearance with a small creamy off-white head. Malty base of prunes, fudge, soil and and black currant in the flavour with grassy, herbal and peppery hops. Medium-bodied with notes of fudge, black-currant, grass and mild herbs. Rounded mouthfeel. Medium-bitter finish of hay, grass, currant-leaves and fudge. Better than the "ESB’n Bitter" version IMHO since there’s no butterscotch in here.
