A very traditional Irish-style Red Ale brewed with pale, biscuit, chocolate and caramel malts to give this beer a round and mellow palate and remarkable drinkability. We use British and American hops in this brew to balance the malt palate and then finish the beer by adding a kiss of Lanark County maple syrup to complete the smooth and smoky-caramel tones of this beautiful Irish-style ale. Charged with a blend of carbon-dioxide and nitrogen, this beer pours with a classic pub-pint “cascade” and forms a tenacious head that makes it too cool for school ! Slainte ! Only available in Ottawa.

At the Ottawa brewpub. This one pours a head so thick and creamy it's like a meal in itself. Great frothiness. Has an amber appearance with red hues, sort of a rusty look. Light roasted aromas with some faint nutty malts and earthy hops. Flavours of roasted malts, mild toffee and some notes of caramel. Also some spices but more in the background. Nice and smooth creamy mouthfeel. Medium retention. Medium to full bodied. Really good beer and only available at the Ottawa location :)

Enjoyed at the Ottawa Brewpub with Lilihel on our first night there, with the ribs special and some nachos. Pours a caramel-amber colour with a beautiful off-white head that is creamy, long lasting and adds dirty lacing. The aromas are quite mild with some sweet malts, hops and cereal grain notes. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. The taste has a bit more bite, but still mild with caramel malt, good grain in the finish and slight hop adding some bitterness and dryness. A pretty nice, easy-drinking, creamy Irish ale with help of the nitro.
