Distillery Ale (6% ABV) is a copper coloured English-style Old Ale made with English floor malted Maris-Otter pale malt and caramel and chocolate malt and a whole pile of English Fuggles and Goldings hops. Old Ales are similar to Barley Wines only smaller. This is a style of English Ale that would have been around back in the old days of the Distillery District and the founders would have been very familiar with.

Sampled at the National Capital Beer Fest in Ottawa with Chopz. Pours very minimal head and has a pale golden appearance. Haa some pretty malty aromas. Has slight hoppiness in the finish. Toasty and nutty malt in flavours as well as notes of cherry. Fairly fruity taste but goes down pretty nicely. Ok carbonation and retention. Not bad.

Enjoyed at the National Capital Craft Beer Week with PaleAleRider. Pours a clean amber colour with a small warm cap and minimal lace. Fruity malt nose with hints of caramel and dark fruits. Fruity taste as well, but milder with lighter fruits and a little hop. Notes of oranges and other tropical fruits. Pretty refreshing and interesting fruity mild amber ale. Note: Tried it in their bottle from their mixed pack and was even better. Decent creamy head with lacing. Hazy. Lots of fruit.
