Pours an appealing clear coppery-mahogany with a decent pale buttery-tan head that leaves some substantial lacing. Aroma has malty, fruity and floral notes as well as hints of caramel and hops; though not strong, it still tempts the palate. Flavor is indeed funky - caramel, woody, malty and nutty notes with a fruity and floral undertone and more than a hint of hops. Smooth, full-bodied texture has a firm tingle that leaves a persistent fizz in the fruity and slightly honey-sweet finish.

Tasted at the Triple Rock Sour and Barrel Aged Fest on 2/10/2013.This wild ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 750ml bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, oak and chardonnay grapes. A medium bodied sour ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy, A lot more woody and funky than the sauterne edition. Some grape tannins and oak. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly funky.

Bottle from Belmont Party Supply, Ohio. Aged in Chardonnay barrels: Light tea brown pour with a bubbly but short white head, some lacing. Funky tart fruity barnyard nose and taste, lovely and inviting, better as it warms, lightly floral, white grapes, nice earthy bitter linger with more sour/tart/funk goodness, dry finish. Loved it.
