Magnum bottle, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg, thanks to gunnar. Cognac-coloured beer, moderate off-white head. Aroma of American hops and (possibly) Belgian(?) yeast. Intense bitter flavour from start to finish, very sharp. Some fruit.

Sampled on 12/4/2009. Thanks to John C for sharing this one with everyone. Bottle # 644 of 1300. This American Strong Ale pours a medium brown color from a 3l bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, dark fruit and sweet. A medium bodied American Strong Ale. The malts are caramel and fruity with a touch of tartness at the finish. The hope are grapefruity and citrusy. Its very malt and somewhat tart, it is a weird combination that works well somehow, Good carbonation. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and tart.

Pours out in a cloudy reddish brown colour with a small creamy tan-coloured foam. Rich sweaty hop aroma of lychee, bloodgrape, resin and alcohol. Full-bodied with notes of grapefruit, resin, lychee and alcohol. Huge bitter finish of grapefruit, grass, resin and alcohol.
