This Imperial Belgian chocolate stout was brewed with French cocoa, Belgian Trappist yeast, and plenty of attitude. Frankie Clause is layered with notes of banana, cocoa, dried red fruit, and roasted almonds creating a very smooth 11.8% stout that leaves soft warming finish.

Brought home from one of my favorite breweries of the NW invasion part 1. This could be a bsa, a chocolate stout, or an imperial. I added it as an imperial due to the abv, and the fact that it smells and tasted far more like a stout than any bsa. Sweet and just a tiny bit of spiciness from the yeast. Mostly sweeter chocolate, dark fruit and roasted malt. Wonderful aroma. Can't beleive this beer was nearly 12% - tasted like 8-9...till we got towards the end and felt it in our craniums. Migration is legit!
