Beautiful simple white bottle with orange waxed top. Pours a hazy amber colour with golden highlights. Creamy warm beige head with great retention and foamy lacing. Aromas of fruity malts, smoked wood, butterscotch, hop and mild nutty notes. The smokiness starts the taste, going through some nice bitterness from the hops and then balancing both in the finish. Some grass lingers, some burnt wood shows hints. This is really quite a nice surprise that is worth getting before it is gone. A smooth smoky Barleywine.
