Anker Mechelschen Bruynen: an amber coloured beer of 6% alc vol, probably the oldest recipe still used in the brewery and dating from 1472. It was the beer that the beguine nuns offered to drink to the sick men in their Krankenhaus.

Hazy brown, fluffy tan head. sweet malty aroma of toffee, chocolate, nuts with sweaty yeasty tones. Light "muddy" flavour of caramel, light chocolate. Light bodied for it’s size. Plastic mouthfeel with sharp carbonattion. Short grassy aftertaste.

Cloudy amber with a huge off-white head. Nice spicey, malty and caramel aroma. Sweet and fruity taste at first turning malty and lightly bitter in the finish. Medium bodied; quite a carbonated mouthfeel. It might be lacking some balance, but still pretty good.
