Brewed in celebration of Doris Miller, a hero in the United States Navy during the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was a Mess Specialist (cook) who left his post to man anti-aircraft machine guns on the USS West Virginia for which he had no training and shot down Japanese planes. He was the first African American to be awarded the Navy cross, the second highest decoration for Valor in combat after the Medal of Honor. CVN - 81, a Gerald R. Ford class nuclear powered aircraft carrier will be named after Doris Miller

Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7
Taps translucent cola with a thick dirty buff head. Aroma produces roast malt, earthy and slight spice tones. Flavor has roast malt, earthy, spicy and subtle molasses notes. Texture provides fairly firm body and lively fizz. A toast to this nation's heroes - thank you for your service and your sacrifice, so I can vote, read what I like, and enjoy craft beer!
