Right about now you’re feeling pretty smug. Sinners usually do. But you already knew that. See, this is a one-time only special blend of beers from our barrel room, and we made it just for you. Just don’t ask! No amount of confession will convince us to tell you what went in this bottle. Sinners know better than that! Sin is about an experience. That’s why they call it sin. Just pop the cork and give in. Hell, even opening this bottle might be considered sinful for some. But not you. You’re WAY past that level of sin. It’s why you joined this hedonistic club in the first place. And for that you are entitled to Sinners’ 2010. Feels pretty good, doesn’t it? Yeah, we thought so.

Yep, this one was in John's cooler too. I spied it, we opened and shared it. Hazed dark brown pour, big tan head, big lacing. Ripe fruits and light funky sour give way to mellow sweetness with this bastard. Light oaky woodsiness, plums and dates, light whiskey, and a lot of Sin in this one. Decadent.

Sampled on 3/12/2011. This wild/sour ale pours a cloudy dark brown amber color from a 375ml bottle. Small to no head. The aroma is fruity, sweet, wood, prunes and bourbon. A medium to full bodied sour/wild ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, wood, raisins and bourbon. The hops are earthy. Little to no carbonation. Nice balance. Very complex flavors. Lots of oak tannins along with some cherry tartness. There is a whole lots going on in this beer and I am not sure it is finished doing what it is going to do. Some bottle aging should help. This one has the potential to be very interesting. For right now, it tart, oaky and sour. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly tart.

definitely a future entry into the american wild ale catergory. wasn't sure what to expect, but was thinking more along the lines of sweet than sour. well...it was both. dark brown opaque body. little carbonation (on purpose :)) which fot with the flavor profile. aroma is crazy complex, like one of the last couple firestone anniversary beers. sour cherries, plum/dark fruit, roasted malt, alcohol. Lots going on with the flavor. bourbon in there somewhere too, but i'd be hard pressed to say exactly what went into this. definitely a multi beer multi barrel blend. sweet and sour finish gets you a little in the back of the throt making you forget the carbonation is low. ever so slightly my favorite beer of Superbowl Sunday 2011.
