A blend of the finest specialty malts gives Race Rocks Ale it’s smooth, complex character and deep chestnut colour. Don’t let its dark colour scare you; toasted biscuit flavours with subtle notes of caramel and chocolate make Race Rocks an exceptionally mellow, well balanced ale to please any taste. Food Pairing: Race Rocks Ale is an excellent all-around beer for any food that is not sweet. Sweets will detract from the malt flavour of the beer. Race Rocks is a great accompaniment to sandwiches, hearty soups, pizza and is also a good thirst-quencher for barbecued or Mexican food.

Solid looking beer. Full flavour beer...elements of coffee, metallics, some kind of fruit, roasted peanuts. Aroma is mild, dull, non-offensive. Light lingering bitterness that I did not expect. Daaaaaa what is this fruit in the taste? Some shorter uglier reviewers say apricot.... I can't disagree. Fizzy feel. Caramel like sweetness arrives when room temp. Completely drinkable beer but it's from a style that just doesn't do it for me.

I couldn't decide, above average, or average. Let my non beer person try. He said, too smooth to be average. I think I agree. Its an amber, its sweet, slighlty floral hop character. Strong cherries on the nose. Fresh cut melon. Cantelope. Taste is bread like, sweet bread. There is a spice about it that makes me think christmas, and its not the traditional ones, maybe like a sweet yam flavour in the mouth. Well balanced, not a fan of the style, but there is definately miles between the sweet 1 dimensionsal rickards red that I hate, and this. Wouldnt buy it again, but great for someone just getting into beer.

The first beer I've had from this brewery, and I'm quite impressed. The colour is a great amber(duh)and comes with a tan, foamy head. Aroma is pleasantly malted. Taste, mouthfeel, and aftertaste are downright enjoyable.

Good amber colour, middling head, just the right amount of hoppiness. Taste is very smooth with a clean finish. New canned version is something I've wanted for quite a while.

Light amber color, medium head. Roasted malts, sweet and not too hoppy. A medium bodied ale, very flavorful. Very smooth. Mouthfeel is rich and robust. Smooth taste. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
