Somewhat opaque light amber, off white lasting lacing foam head. Not too strong sweet aroma, slightly sweet taste, typical tripel thus quite nice. (Lille 201507)

Shared with Chopz at Ottawa brewpub. Pours a thick frothy head and has a golden appearance. Aromas are really strong citrus hops, yeast and malts. Flavours are somewhat different with a lot of sweetness involved here coming from the cane sugar and brown sugar. Also some barley malts, citrus and herbal hops I find. Tangy and tarty mouthfeel, especially in the finish. The sweetness for me is a bit too overwhelming. Not too bad still but just too sweet for my tastes.

Swingtop bottle from the Ottawa brewpub. Looks like they fill them there when you order, as it takes a while to get it and it does not do any kind of pop when opened. Dry-hopping written on label (and Non-pasterized). Smells quite hoppy with grassy notes. Hints of fruity malt eventually comes out with citrus. Almost smells like laundry after a while. Hazy golden-amber colour with a creamy off-white head, great retention and wavy lacing. The taste is not as hoppy as the nose. Fruity malts with the hop kicking a bit later, but goes on, more and more. Medium-bodied with a mild dry finish. Probably the hoppiest Tripel I have ever had.
