Im not sure how they got away with calling this a dunkel. The bartender told me it was the darkest beer they had. Hm... Pours a bright, clear copper colour with no head. Malty, water on the palate, barely any noticeable character, maybe a little carmel, thats about it. Basically a crappy pale lager. dissapointing.

Amber beer with a thin head, no nose, thin on the palate, no hop flavor, bland, undistinctive malt, little character, poor version of the Dunkel style, astringent finish -- no, wait, less a finish than a reprieve.
