200-some odd imperial stouts later, I don't think i'm EVER going to get sick of this style. Here is another really nice entry into the catergory. The maple in this 2011 bottle is quite subtle, but adds another component to a very complex brew. Chocolate malt, roasted coffee, a decent amount of bittering hops on the back end, vanilla. Covers up the 10% exceedingly well and is very smooth on the palate. well done! close to a 4.4 but after 1 try I'll go with the lower score for now.

Their finest maple imperial stout is way too sweet. A dark reddish black pour with a thick brown head. Hints of maple, vanilla, roasted malt, nuts, and coffee comprise the aroma. The flavour is equally flavourful, but the number of flavours is too much and they don't meld together very well at all.
