Thanks a lot to phishpond! Bottle. A rich copper colored brew with a light khaki head. The nose is grainy with hints of both lettuce and caramel. There is also some nutty peanut. The taste is rich sweet peanuts and toffee. There is also a hint of roast to help balance and make more interesting. There is a hint of citrus and booze. Well done.

From phishpond via the Hootenanny: Deep clear copper pour with a nice creamy head, plenty of spotted lacing. Malty aroma, some nuts, earthy hops and a very slight vinegar-type tartness that emerged as it warmed a bit. Taste is malty lightly sweetened, again a bit of nuts, earthy hops, nice slightly sweet then light bitter linger. Thanks to Travis, I am now again 100% with Lake Louie brews - fitting.

Sampled from bottle, thanks to Phishpond! This steam pours caramel brown with a faint haze and a thick, creamy off-white head. Clean malty aroma with some earthy, floral hops. Sweet up front with nuts and caramel and a refreshing lightly bitter finish. Medium-bodied and smooth. A well-crafted steam beer.

A good honest beer in aroma and appearance, nice dark amber color with moderate head. Strong caramel in the flavor, also malts and a decent amount of hops. It didn't remind me of any other California Common type beers but it is deffinitely tasty.

The newest beer from Lake Louie in, I don't know, a couple of years? Fantastic nonetheless. Pours a dark mahogany. Nose is hoppy, herbal and fresh. Taste is amazingly soft, caramel, hops and bready. Big full bodied brew with moderate carbonation. I hope this becomes a staple in the LL lineup.
