Same beer as the one Franz brewed at Hoppers. This alias is on tap at the brewpub. It pours copper with some haze and gold hues holding up a firm light tan head. The mild aroma brings forth malts, a bit of roast and faint ripe plum and cherry fruitiness. The taste begins with various malt notes like caramel, a bit of roast and sweet malts to go along with a mild level of dark fruity esters like plum, cherry and prune. It stays like this into the finish except for picking up some graininess and a dash of floral hops. Overall the sweetness builds to be a tad much for my taste.
