The beer pours a hazy copper colour with a 1” tan coloured bubbly head which leaves a lot of lacing. The aroma is grassy malt, caramel, melon, and grapefruit. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The spruce comes through in the flavour, but the flavour is still dominated by the caramel and grains.
