Our deeply dark, palateful dark beer, with a light note of malt aroma. Even though the strong colour would suggest otherwise, it is not a strong beer. It is brewed with an original extrakt of at least 11%, and belongs to the category "Vollbier" with a bottom fermented way of brewing; alcohol content is around 4.8% alc. vol. It is produced according to an old, traditional recipe, by use of modern technology. It gets its dark colour solely by using dark special and roast malts. Everything adhering to the German Purity Law.

Dark brown with a low beige head. Malty and quite empty aroma of grass and straw. Full malty flacour of grass, straw and toasted bread. Long but a bit mild aftertaste of grass, straw and leaves.
