This light coloured golden ale is brewed with a gentle maltiness provided by Maris Otter and Crystal malts. Goldings hops are used for bitterness, whilst Syrian's and Hallertau for aroma and give a pronounced citric character. Liberation Ale is a well balanced moreish beer, an easy drinking beer that is the perfect accompaniment to seefood, pasta and salads. It also goes well with mature cheddars and crumbly cheeses. It is now available in all of the Channel Islands.

Rerate, cask half pint at The Lamplighter, St Helier. Served at correct cellar temperature. Golden colour, nice lacing. Moderate hops in the aroma. Tingling hops in the fairly dry and pleasant flavour, some fruit. I'm upping the score a bit. Original rating: Cask pint at the Ship & Crown, St. Peter’s Port, Guernsey. Golden colour, low white head. Very moderate aroma, not as hoppy as expected. Decent hops throughout in the flavour, some malts too. Smooth to drink. (Score: 3.1).

Clear yellow with lacing white foam head. Aroma is barley, some citrus notes. Light bitter taste, again some citrus present. Short lasting aftertaste, dry, light. (Guernsey 201407)

This ocher-colored beer with a thin foam gives a great presentation, at the smell of his candy citrus aromas, the palate it's light and refreshing, the aroma of hops but not too bitter and the mouth is short.

500 ml bottle bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Liberation Ale shaker pint glass an unfiltered hazy copper brown colored with a small one finger slightly beige foamy head that had a good retention. Good lacing. The aroma is moderate sweety malts, fruity, orange peels and citrus, floral hops. The flavour is quite the same, sweety malts, aciditic fruits, orange and citrus, floral hops. The mouthfeel is slight crispy and very smooth. This light bodied ale has a slight bitter finish. An easy drinkable and refreshing ale.
