With its splendid golden hues and fruity tones, Jenlain No. Six has a distinctive bitter finish and a hoppy nose. The barley-scented liquor sparkles under its light, foamy head. Light and thirst-quenching, with a rich characteristic savour, it is best served at between 5 and 6°C, with a meal or as an aperitif. In 2000 Brasserie Duyck launched its first special beer, Jenlain Blonde with 6% alcohol by volume. Now firmly positioned in the grand lineage of Special Beers, this high in taste blonde beer has been renamed Jenlain No.SIX. Jenlain Blonde has since been reformualted and is 7.5% alcohol by volume.

Dark blonde colour with a frothy disappearing white foam. Sugary and cellary aroma with touches of canned pears. Cellary and sweet flavour of canned pears and white bread. Sticky mouthfeel. Medium-bitter finish of hay with cellary and sugary undertones.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head, some lace. Really grassy nose along with some fruity hops and quite bitter. Flavour is very much the same along with earthy notes.

Very gasy and much foam. Foam is stable and nicely white. Golden yellow color. Stron caramel and burnt hops in aroma. Taste is really good nutty, a little bit sweetish. Tastes like cookies with crispy and dry ending. Very good and drinkable beer.

first and so far only Jenlain brew I've tried, and while the circumstances around the tasting (a parisian apartment this summer with my girlfriend) were well above normal standards this beer took me by surprise- the sizeable and super-crispy head, the aroma with its fruity/sour freshness, the taste that corresponds extremely well with the aroma - it was/is all a very nice experience

clear pale golden colour, fine head and a nice lace, caramelized sugar, some spices and fruits (orange ?), (too) sweet, quite light-bodied, the finish is fruity with a touch of alcohol - modest
