A brand that has its origin in the surname of the Dane John Henry Jansen, who established Fábrica de Cervejas Jansen on the Rua do Alecrim, in 1861, which got its license in February 1870. Jansen was one of the best known breweries in Lisbon, and it was deactivated after the forming of Sociedade Central de Cervejas, in 1934, whose composition the shareholders entered. Central de Cervejas would return to it in September 1993, under the designation of Jansen Sem Álcool.

Deep golden colour, small white bubbly head. Aroma of hay, bread and malts. Flavour of malts and hops along with hayish hints. Some rye also noteable in aftertaste. Papery dry. Slight notes of honey when it gets warmer.
