KnoxBeerCrew tasting. Brown pour, tight head, tight lacing, little carbonation. Big heavy aromas of ripe fruits, tons of hops, brown sugar, massive malts, bigness. Hoppy meets malts int he flavor, big and rich, almost thick, ripe fruits, sweet and then hopped bittered. Very warming. Big and tasty. Worthy effort.

Pours a clear, dark cola brown with a very thick pale tan head that hangs around for a while. Yeasty aroma has notes of malt and fruit plus just a hint of caramel. Rich flavor has malty, caramel and fruity notes plus a hint of yeast and - wow, quite an alcohol bite! Just what one expects from a barleywine. Smooth, firm-bodied texture has plenty of fizz, and gets in a nice Parthian shot of alcohol bite just before heading downstairs.
