A rich, malty-sweet ale from Scotland. Our scotch ale has a smokey, sweet taste derived from peat-smoked malt, reminiscent of single malt scotch.

good use of the peat malt, but it's just a tad on the boring side. still pretty good, as it's hard to screw up this style, but nothing special. recomend to try once.

Pours a very dark brown (almost black) with a nice dark tan head. Aroma is heavy and dark, with a sweet, chocolate maltiness. Mouthfeel is VERY smooth and creamy, with a smooth softness to it. Flavor is very thick and smooth, with a dark chocolatey sweetness and little bitterness. I can pick up some nice earthy notes; complex, yet simple and to the point. Nicely balanced sweetness with an alcoholic warmth. This beer is excellent! Sweet, thick and smooth, with a complex, slightly smokey finish. This is the second beer I have tried from this fine brewery, and I can honestly say, this is one of my favorite beers of any style! Rich and robust without being over the top. A must-have, that I will be ordering more of!
