A Kolsch-style ale brewed from five different types of malt, with a liberal dose of Czech Saaz hops. The result is one of our most popular ales and a nice balance of lingering malt flavors and a subtle hop finish. So light and smooth the first glass invites a second. 1st Place, 2004 CA State Fair

Light orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is sweet, fruity and a touch grassy. A medium bodied blonde/Kolsch. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are mild and nicely spicy. Light and refreshing. It has a nice spicy and malty flavor that sort of grows on you. This beer is much closer to a kolsch than a blonde or golden ale. Easy drinking. Smooth tasting. Lively but subdued carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
