Thanks to Chopz or picking this one up or me! Part of gift pack with a glass included. Pours a small frothy white head but goes away quickly and leaves very little head and some foamy lacing. Moderate carbonation. Has a golden coppery appearance with lots of sediment clearly visible. Aromas of oak, wheat, barley and cereal malt notes, a bit resiny and earthy. Flavours are mostly malty, barley and oak notes, a bit of pear and apple hints, rye, mild scotch notes are somewhat apparent, more towards the finish. Mild alcohol warmness on the palate and not overly strong.

Single 330ml brown bottle in a Christmas pack with 3 of their original barrel-aged beer and a goblet. Aromas are getting close to diacetyl with the butterscotch-butter, but not quite as bad. Mild banana notes and light hops comes and saves this a little. The taste is thankfully not as sweet. The regular I&G caramel touch with the hops giving this a nice light dryness in the end. Hints of wood cask, but not getting much of the whiskey. Thinner mouthfeel than I expected. Clean amber colour with a warm creamy-thin head that leaves good creamy lacing. Nice to try once, especially on New Years Day.
