Quite an interesting brew to say the lease. Not sure what to make of this. A tripel infused with cold coffee ?! Hazy golden colour with lots of carbonation creating a big fluffy light off-white coloured head, very long lasting with chunks of thick foamy lace. The high IBU (at 97) adds the green leaf to the smell over bitterness from mild coffee. It is kind of weird, with hints of sourness (but no Brett in this one - finally). Almost burnt wood, weird ?! The brew is pretty bitter for a Belgian Tripel style. Takes over the yeast and other characteristics of the style. Alcohol well-hidden by the hops, same for the coffee flavours. Yeah, not sure what to make of this.
