The dark complexity of a Russian Imperial Stout is made more irresistible with the addition of vanilla, toasted coconut, and coffee. Pitch black, velvet smooth and aggressively roasty, Imperium commands all of your senses. Behind the scenes: A team of brewers, a sales pro, our Supply Chain manager, and Ops VP toasted 400lbs of raw coconut flakes in borrowed ovens on a Sunday night to bring you this beloved beer.

Very dark brown beer with a tan head that was a little more calm than I'd expect. This strong stout is so easy to drink! Not overly sweet for a RIS. Coconut and chocolate take center stage with a bit of spice. Finishes with a pleasant dryness.

Pours coffee brown with a thick and fairly persistent dark tan head. Strong aroma presents roast quality coffee, roast malt, hints of molasses and chocolate. Vanilla and an undertone of coconut come forth in the taste, along with quality coffee, roast malt, semi-sweet chocolate and molasses. Firm, viscous body features good fizz. Don’t go big, go Imperial!

I wouldn't catorize this as a imperial stout it's more just a stout. The taste is not complex and it's not very thick. At least the coconut is not over wheming it's blended well.
