Aroma of malted chocolate hits you up front and center. Undertones of molasses, roasted coffee and a hint of hops. Flavor nearly exactly the same...maybe a touch of licorice in their as well. Body is not thin despite the relatively low abv for an impy. Decadent. Nice to see a local bottling something of this quality.
