Chanukah Beer pours a rich crystal clear chestnut to ruby color with a light creamy head. The aroma and flavors lean toward a robust winter warmer, though brewed without any spices. Just all malt and hop goodness! Light caramel and toasty nuttiness as well as a hint of sweeter chocolate are rounded out by a healthy dose of European Noble and classic American new school hops. With 8 malts, 8 hops and 8% alcohol, this beer is real wonder with so many elements blending to create balanced and yet still distinct flavors. Hanukkah Beer is brewed as a celebration offering and sure to light up your holiday season. L’Chaim!

12oz bottle pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, malt balls, chocolate malts and then a faint hodgepodge of hoppiness where maybe a sprinkle is noticed just above a sliver of dark fruity esters. The taste begins with a pleasing blend of chocolate and dark roasted malts and sweet dark fruity esters and then a bit of spicy black licorice. This reminds me of anniversary 8 and if a bit hoppier 9. After a few more sips I start to notice bitter floral and pine hops surface about midway. The taste seems to evolve as I’m getting rich dark chocolate notes and a dash of nuttiness now. Fun beer.

Small head, with brownish-red body. Muted malty aroma. Flavors of toasted hazelnuts and bread and slight brown sugar to it. I’d buy it again if it weren’t so expensive.

Taps clear honey brown with a thin head. Aroma offers malty, woody, and subtle caramel tones. Flavor presents fresh malt, fruity and hoppy tones, plus a bit of an alcohol nip. Where did the caramel go? Mouthfeel delivers fairly fiem body and OK fizz. Happy Hanukkah even if you’re a gentile.
