Sampled on 1/2/2015. This spiced beer pours a deep copper color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with decent retention and nice lacing. The aroma is malty and sweet, with some spruce/pine and cinnamon. A medium bodied spiced ale. The malts are caramel and fruity. The hops are herbal and earthy. Decent carbonation. There is a little too much cinnamon and not enough maple for my tastes, but it is a nice sipping beer. Nice beer for a cold winter evening. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

A winter warmer had on a June evening, but it still hit the spot. It had it faults, but was still very nice. Mahogony pour, good body but the abv doesn't show at all. Intense aroma of spruce and cinnamon. Similar flavor with a rich malty backbone. I'd have loved to trade a little of the cinnamon spice for more maple, as it was barely noticeable, but otherwise a GREAT beer.
