    Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

This Abbey dubbel pours a deep reddish brown color from a 22oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head that quickly diminishes and leaves a small amount of lacing. The aroma is caramel and sweet with some yeast. There is a slight touch of sourness/funk as well. A medium bodied dubbel. The malts are caramel and sweet, bready with some sour cherry flavors as well. The hops are earthy and floral. The balance is good. But there is little to no carbonation. That and the slightly sour taste makes me wonder if this is an off bottle. Will need to re-rate some time. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
