I've had this several times at the brewpub, this time from a bottle. Pours a dark brown/black color with a small mocha colored head that leaves a ring on the top of the glass. Some uneven lacing. The aromas of coffee and maple jump out immediately. Both have a very strong presence. A little roasted malt as well. Coffee, roasted malt and sweet maple syrup on the palate. It is a bit on the sweet side, thinking the raw sugar has something to do with this. The coffee flavor lingers for quite some time after drinking. Mouthfeel is dense and indicative of the style. I get no alcohol burn or bite, which is quite scary at 13%. I keep thinking of pancakes as I sip this beauty. Another winner in Hailstorm's series of Imperial Milk Stouts.
