We brewed this Imperial Stout almost 2 years ago specifically to hide it all away to rest in bourbon barrels. Double mashed and clocking in at 11.3% this big, intense stout was set aside for 21 months in Weller Reserve Bourbon Barrels to mellow over time and transform into its current form. Upon pouring into a glass and warming some, intense aromas of vanilla, chocolate, bourbon, and raisins hit you. The flavors follow the aroma ending with a lingering sweetness and a warming alcohol sensation. Meant to be shared with friends so raise a glass and cheers to 8 years!
