Just in time for Cinco de Mayo, this tough ale is black as ink and ready to rumble! Mortal chiles are combined with bittersweet chocolate flavors, Mexican brown sugar and cinnamon; and aging on on cocoa nibs to bring the sweet heat. Find out what’s under the mask.

    Aroma: 10 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Pours opaque sable with a thick tan head. Aroma presents smoky malt, semi-sweet chocolate, roast coffee, and a peppery hint. Flavor starts like a good stout, roast malt and chocolate and coffee - but as it heads downstairs, the peppers bare their claws and dig into the palate. Not too hard, though - your mouth won’t feel like a set from "The Towering Inferno." Mouthfeel is heavy and viscous with some good fizz. Get your Mexican on, any time of year, and rumble!
