RB lists this (American Strong Ale) as an alias for this, though the abv is significantly different. Whatever. Nice citrus and carmel forward hoppy american strong. Fairly barleywine like all around, and pretty stinkin tasty and warming. I'd definitely get again.

Sampled at the Pizza Port 2003 Strong Ale Fest. A medium brown amber color. Medium white foamy head. Aroma is malty and sweet with touches of oranges. A medium bodied American Strong Ale. Malts are nutty and fruity. Hops are slightly spicy. Nice blend of fruit flavors and spiciness. Well balanced. This is a very subtly crafted, tasty Christmas beer. Very slight alcohol bite. Mouthfeel is full and round, Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

This brew pours with a deep amber body topped by a medium thick head and a good amount of lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with a slight nuttiness and a nice bitter hoppiness. The flavor is sweet yet bitter, malty and nutty with a slightly piney bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth and slightly dry.
