Good example of going overboard with the barrel, and good example of all 3.5-3.6 scores not being equal. Some, like this, are a disappointment. Being my favorite style and even sub style, i expect better. This was pleasant enough, but waaaaaaayy oversweet. No subtlety whatsoever. All sweet figginess and chocolate and bourbon. Too hot as well. Still makes an ok sipper, but too much barrel in a beer that was a little too sweet and one dimensional to begin with.
