Dark Materials. Just two freshly emptied 100 litre Lark whiskey barrels worth of decadent dessert stout, aged for over a year, then conditioned on toasted hazelnuts, cacao nibs and Tongan vanilla beans. Brewed earlier this year and initially kegged for 2024's annual NZ Stout Challenge, hosted by Chirstchurch hospitality staples Punky Brewster & Moon Under Water, Dark Materials is packed with intense rich nut chocolate, vanilla oak and mellow spirits - all the sweeter for being available in such a limited volume. Or as as James has put it so eloquently over on Untappd: _Like a spy caught on the wrong side of "The Wall" before "The Collapse", this beer is deceptive. 10% that sips like a 6%. One might say it's "deadly"
